Sports Medicine Champion

The chapter’s Sports Medicine Champion works closely with other champions and committee chairs on important topics related to sports medicine and physical activity. Past and current issues include advocacy/ legislation and education for sports related concussions, sports physicals (PPE), and heat illness. The champion must be passionate and knowledgeable in this field. They do not have to be fellowship trained in sports medicine, but it is helpful.
